The Red Cow Inn for good food at reasonable prices
The Red Cow Inn is near the top of the High Street in Honiton It’s a traditional pub but is also has excellent food. The food is freshly cooked to order and there are generous portions to enjoy. There is a range of dishes to choose from, including an excellent curry, fish and chips, jacket potatoes with different fillings and a dish of the day. Most dishes are served with a side salad and there is also a very tasty soup of the day served with a roll. All the food is served at the correct temperature, very hot if it’s meant to be and deliciously cold if it should be. Members of staff are polite and keep a discreet watch on how your meal is progressing. They clear away promptly and are very helpful about ingredients and getting the meal cooked exactly to your liking. During the summer the outside is tastefully decorated with hanging baskets of flowers. The bar area is decorated with old farming implements and some wonderful character prints.
