Sidmouth Folk Week 2010

The Sidmouth Folk Week 2010 runs from 30th July to 6th August.

As usual it's packed full of events for the whole family to enjoy. This year there are evening concerts from the likes of Julie Fowlis Show of Hands, Barry Coope and John Tams. If you have a Ham evening season ticket you can get into all these concerts and more.

This year there will also be the very popular Ham Lunchtime Sessions where you can enjoy some old-time American music played by some of your favourite artistes.

Meanwhile, down at the Manor Pavilion you'll be able to see The Ram Company's Waltzers and Wonders, Voice of the People and a concert of Gypsy and Traveller's music. Oh yes, and Bagpuss too!

If you feel like dancing then why not try one of the Ceildhs in the Blackmore Gardens? The organizers want to challenge you a bit because they've also got NuCeildh nights, these are just as much fun as a regular Ceildh but the dances are just a little more challenging. And as if that's not enough you can also have a go at one of the ceilidh band workshops, working along with a celebrity guest tutor in a small group.

Everyone is catered for whatever their age. There's plenty for children and teenagers to do throughout the week. The youth club and Join the Band for the older ones or the Little Folk Tent in Blackmore Gardens for the younger ones. The whole family can have fun learning circus skills or drumming, there's just SO much to choose from.
