Tar Barrels pull the crowds

For such a small town it's really amazing how many people come to see this weird spectacle!

When we went last year the streets were packed. I couldn't believe that so many people could get into one small street.

I didn't like it when they were all trying to get out of the way of one of the barrels, it felt very scary. Not as scary as carrying one of those flaming barrels though.

I took this picture, it's a bit blurry but you can see there's loads of people trying to get near to the person carrying the barrel.

They must be mad to do it but the seem to enjoy it just the same.

It was a bit of a wet night this year, so I didn't go.

I've been a couple of times and I can tell you that the bonfire is the biggest that I've ever seen! It's MASSIVE and burns for ages. I live nearby and we've watched them build it, it takes them about a month to get it ready.
